What’s new

What’s new in CallHeim.

Changes customers can see, dated by the day they reached production. Newest first.

  1. Text and phone-call paging

Incident pages can go out by text message and phone call as well as e-mail and push. An organization admin turns SMS and voice on, and each person verifies their own phone number. A call reads out the severity and title, and the keypad acknowledges, resolves or escalates.

  2. Integration URLs shown only to integration admins

An integration’s URL and key are shown only to people whose role lets them manage integrations. Everyone else sees the integration and is asked to contact an admin for the URL.

  3. SRE leads can save a service’s escalation policy

People with the SRE lead role can now save the escalation policy of a service, so a service is not left without one.

  4. Help Center: priorities and e-mail updates

Requests in Help Center carry a priority from Low to Urgent, and you get an e-mail when a request is answered, resolved or reopened.

  5. Audit-log export goes straight to your device

An audit-log export downloads directly as CSV or JSON, and CallHeim keeps no copy of the file. Business and Enterprise plans.

  6. Status pages show only their own services

Each additional status page shows only the services you add to it, with their posts and scheduled maintenance, so a page made for one customer never shows another customer’s updates.

  7. Keyboard shortcuts setting and accessibility improvements

A Profile setting turns single-key shortcuts on or off, tables carry names for screen readers, and touch targets are larger on phones.

  8. E-mail first in the built-in paging steps

For anyone without paging steps of their own, P1 and P2 pages start with e-mail, with push alongside it. Text and call steps follow only for organizations that have turned SMS and voice on.

  9. An acknowledge page that names the incident

The page behind the acknowledge link shows the incident number, title, severity and service, and after you press Acknowledge it says who acknowledged and when.

  10. SCIM user provisioning

Business and Enterprise organizations can create, update and deactivate members from their identity provider through SCIM 2.0.

  11. Push notifications

Responders can turn on push notifications on devices where CallHeim is open or installed. A push arrives alongside their other paging steps and opens the incident.
